Greg Guibert
Greg Guibert, Communications Project Coordinator
Greg Guibert is a Communications Project Coordinator at the Pew Center on Global Climate Change. His current project is to assist Alcoa (a member of the Center's Business Environmental Leadership Council (BELC)) create a carbon footprint calculator and companion carbon reduction toolkit for its employees. He serves as liaison to Alcoa and its employees, oversees the design of the climate education resources, and facilitates training workshops across the country.
Prior to coming to the Pew Center, Mr. Guibert worked with the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder, CO, assisting with the final preparation of a report on the anticipated near-term impacts of climate change on the agriculture, forests, fresh water and biodiversity systems in the US. Before NCAR, he managed an international non-profit organization devoted to disaster risk reduction at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Mr. Guibert has also worked in the Environment Division of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy and Arizona State University on national environmental policy issues.
Mr. Guibert is a graduate of the University of Virginia’s School of Architecture, where he received a Master’s of Urban and Environmental Planning with a concentration in the development of sustainable communities. He has a B.A. with honors in Geography, with a minor in Geology, from Vassar College.
