Statements on Climate Change
“At Cummins, we are responding to climate change by establishing a set of 10 guiding principles. We are reducing emissions from our facilities worldwide and empowering employees to reduce their personal carbon footprint. Much of our annual R&D is now focused on improving the efficiency of engines and reducing carbon dioxide emissions.”—Tom Linebarger, President and Chief Operating Officer

“At Cummins, we recognize that improving energy efficiency is directly linked to reducing carbon dioxide emissions and therefore linked to climate change. And better energy efficiency is good for our business and for our customers. We have also seen the value of collaborative development of balanced emissions regulations over the years with the EPA, and we are confident that the same sort of balanced approach will work as we move ahead to address the climate change.” —John Wall, Vice President and Chief Technical Officer
