Wisconsin Energy Waste Management

• Wisconsin Energy Corporation produces fly ash, bottom ash and synthetic gypsum which is utilized in the production of various construction materials. This utilization of coal combustion products reduces the amount of solids placed in landfills. In 2006, the company beneficially used over 99 percent of these coal combustion products, compared to a national average of 40.3 percent in 2005.
