William Bailey joined DuPont in 1978 after receiving a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech.  He is currently an Engineering Fellow in DuPont’s Energy Engineering Group and has over 30 years of experience in the industrial energy field.  Mr. Bailey spearheaded the creation of a corporate “capital set aside” for energy efficiency projects that has reduced DuPont’s energy consumption and CO2 emissions by 5% and delivered $50 million in recurring annual savings to the Company. Mr. Bailey also leads DuPont’s Energy Center of Competency which is responsible for driving continuous improvement in energy efficiency at DuPont’s global plant sites.  He works out of DuPont's Southeast Regional Office in Charlotte.
