U.S. Trends in Greenhouse Gas Emissions

This figure shows the trends in US carbon dioxide emissions between 1990 and 2009. Emissions increased by 7 percent between 1990 and 2009.  Emissions have declined since 2007 mostly due to the global recession. (Friedlingstein, 2010)
