Oregon Commissions and Advisory Groups

OR: Climate Change Integration Group appointed in June 2006 by the Governor to track the state’s progress on greenhouse gas emission reductions, and explore new opportunities for research on the mitigation of, and adaptation to, climate change in Oregon and the Pacific Northwest.  The Group’s final report is due to the Governor by December 2007.

Oregon Global Warming Commission created in August 2007 by the Governor to recommend to state and local governments ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and measures the state may adopt to mitigate the impacts of global warming.  By March of every other year, starting in 2009, the Commission is to submit to the Legislative Assembly a report of the state’s progress towards its greenhouse gas emissions reduction goal.
