Sanjana Ahmad

Solutions Fellow


Sanjana Ahmad is a Solutions Fellow at the Pew Center on Global Climate Change, where she assists the Director of Innovative Solutions on transportation and other state-level policy issues. Her work also includes researching and communicating transportation technology solutions for reducing greehouse gases.

Ms. Ahmad is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a Masters in Public Policy, Environmental Policy concentration. As a graduate student, she was part of several climate change related projects at the University of Maryland's Center for Integrative Environmental Research. Prior to coming to Maryland, she worked at the National Transportation Research Center at the Oak Ridge National Lab for three years. While there, she co-authored papers on corporate average fuel economy, the effects of CAFE standards on safety, and the cost of U.S. oil dependence. Ms. Ahmad also holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Mathematics from University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
